About
About Vertigo Dev
Behind Vertigo Dev stands a single developer: the person who answers your first message, designs the architecture, writes the code, tests its security and supports you after go-live.
A background built in IT services
Before founding Vertigo Dev, I worked as a permanent employee for my former employers, Capgemini and then SII, two IT services companies. 8 years of experience in total, spent mostly on assignments for large enterprises, on high-traffic applications with demanding availability requirements.
Those years taught me the rigour of large-scale projects: written specifications, code reviews, formal acceptance testing, planned production releases. Vertigo Dev applies that discipline to projects of every size, without the heaviness of the organisations where it was born.
Business domains
Hospitality, transport and the public sector are among the domains I have worked in. Each has its own habits, vocabulary and regulatory requirements; listening to them before writing code saves precious time.
Preferred technologies
Technologies are chosen for each project on measurable criteria: maturity, security, hosting cost, ease of takeover by another team. The ones I use most: Go, Java, JavaScript and TypeScript, along with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Why AI, and its limits
AI is a remarkable accelerator for writing repetitive code, generating tests, documenting or exploring attack paths. It is also confidently wrong at times. I use it as an assistant whose every output is reviewed, tested and owned, never as an autopilot: decisions on architecture, security and data protection remain human.
How I work
I mostly work remotely, with regular video calls and permanent access to the acceptance environment. I am based in the Brest area in Brittany, where on-site meetings are possible, and I travel to clients in the Paris region when the project calls for it.
Depending on your need: custom web application development, business website design, website redesign, web security audit or maintenance and enhancements.
Let’s get acquainted
The simplest way to find out whether we are a good fit is a first conversation: present your project, even if it is still only an idea.
